In Ten Years Time

In Ten Years Time
In ten years time, I would like to own my own house. By owning my own house, I can start saving more money in  my bank account faster and better. I can also start doing more chores in the house and outside obediently. And last of all, I can sell and trade the things that I won't be needing anymore. By starting at this age to save more money in my bank account, by doing the chores in the house and outside obediently, and also by selling and trading the things I don’t need, I can own my own house in no time. I tremoundsley assume that I can get my own house in ten years time. Hopefully!

Newspaper Article

WALT: Write an article about Jump Rope For Heart to be published to the local newspaper.

Glen Innes School joining Jump Rope for Heart

by Sajiha Askar

Glen Innes School were doing their Jump Rope for Heart at Glen Innes Centre on the 27th of June 2013. Glen Innes School is very close to Glen Innes Shopping Centre, so they walked down there to show off their skipping routines and also entertain the shoppers.

“WOW”. That’s what all the people in GI centre said. Even the parents and the shopkeepers who were working there. They just could not wait to see the children performing.

Glen Innes School had been practising their skipping routines since the beginning of the term. They had all been waiting for this day patiently. All the classes were looking forward to perform.

When they all arrived there, some students had excited faces where the other students had such nervous faces. All the students had a turn to skip, hop, jump and have extremely fun with each other. It started from Room 1 all the way to Room 12. There were different routines, styles and a variety of music played. They all did great no matter what age they were.

A really helpful company, called South Pacific Loans provided the school with skipping ropes, flags and banners. This is not the first time they have been helping the school.  They have done this for a number of years.

Even some of the parents had a turn to skip with their children. That was a really fun competition for the parents. The parent who skipped the longest won a milkshake voucher from one of the shops in Glen Innes Centre. A very healthy mother got the prize. She was really proud of herself.

At the end, everyone enjoyed and looking forward for another day like this next year.
