Washing Your Hands

This is a reading comprehension about washing your hands. Washing your hands help to get rid of all the dirt and germs. Did you know that you should wash your hands as long as it takes to sing “Happy Birthday” slowly? I never knew that but when I read this reading comprehension I learn’t something new. The questions were really simple. I have got all the questions correct. I will try to find a more difficult reading comprehension game next time.

Evaluating

This is a  reading comprehension game about evaluating. It is fun and it helps me to learn at the same time. Evaluating means making a judgement about what you read, and explaining why. The questions were easy and simple because I have got all the questions correct. Maybe next time I can a much more difficult reading comprehension game.

Synthesizing

This reading comprehension is about Synthesizing. Synthesizing means learning from what you read and adding new ideas to what you already know. The questions were not difficult or too easy. However I still need to practise synthesizing. Hopefully I will learn how to synthesize so I can find a more complicated reading comprehension game.

Our First Manaiakalani Movie

This year we made our very first Manaiakalani movie. It was all about leaving positive blog comments. We got the idea from Mrs.Yollis’ class all the way from California. Her class’s video gave us lots of ideas on how to make the movie. Her video was a US version so we decided to make a NZ version. We made it because we wanted to teach people all around the world how to leave positive blog comments. Comments that would be meaningful for the blog writer. My favourite part about the movie was when we could all write signs about positive blog comments. My sign said “Positive Digital Footprint.” At first we didn’t know to leave positive blog comments too but later on when we all tried and believed in ourselves we soon got there. It was challenging and lots of fun at the same time. I found it challenging because this was our first movie. At the beginning of the year we didn't know much about blogging and commenting. We have practised a lot and because there were lots of things for us to share we  have learn’t a lot over the year. At the end we were all proud of ourselves and hoped that people will learn from our movie.
